After Hours Are On A Mission To Help #savehospo

Shyanne Trutwein modestly describes herself as ‘somewhere between a graphic designer and an illustrator.

The truth is, Shyanne’s one of the most exciting creatives Brisbane has to offer (do yourself a favour and take a long scroll through the @shyannetrutweindesign feed). We first came across her work for the likes of Drnks and Perch’d - we’ve been huge fans ever since. 

Along with business partner Jasmine Gallagher, Shyanne is behind After Hours, another new Brisbane-based creative studio currently extending a hand to Hospo businesses in need. 

Right around the time all of our lives were turned upside down, After Hours reached out to Hospitality businesses on Instagram with an offer to whip up some artwork on their behalf, free of charge. Complimentary. Gratis. On the house.

After Hours were motivated to do this after seeing how rapidly the impact of COVID-19 was devastating both clients and friends in the industry.

Shyanne says, “We wanted to help, but we didn’t know how. I mean, we can offer a branding package, we can offer a redesign, but how is that going to help a business right now? People are scrambling to save their livelihoods, they don’t have the time to sit down, have a bit of a chat and do a brand workshop. A social tile was a pretty easy solution, send us the deets, and we can whip up something for Instagram and send it back. Job done.”

Businesses around the country have been lining up for the After Hours treatment, with some fantastic work churned out for the likes of Tonka, Entrecôte and Greenhouse Canteen. Here’s a few of our faves from the series.
