ISO: PART I
COVID-19 put most of their paid work behind the lens on hold. For how long, who knows?
We asked some of Brisbane’s top photographers to share some of their work from a time before we were all stuck at home. They also share how they're responding to the changes and what they’re doing to stay positive in these uncertain times.

In her own words…
What am I doing in lockdown?
To be honest, because my work is seasonal and I’ve been self employed for 8 years I find adjusting for this easy. I have started some home projects, sanding and painting windows, but I still have photos to edit and I’ve been shooting some food photography for all my friends who own restaurants to get their online systems going.
The things I’m missing the most are going to the gym and being able to visit my parents in northern NSW. I’ve been working out in the park but usually I do olympic weight lifting so it’s not the same!

In his own words…
I’ve been neglecting a YouTube channel I started last year about film photography. All this free time bound to the house gave me the idea to make a video about trying to develop film at home.
It’s been nice to focus on a passion project with no distractions around and to explore photography in a tangible way.

In his own words…
As heartbreaking as it’s been to have the next few months worth of national and international tours put on the shelf - I’m taking this forced ‘down time’ as an opportunity to really push myself in developing my video editing capabilities (my first highlight reel is definitely in the works!), as well as creating content to help the local music community.
That’s what I, just like so many others, can’t wait to get back to doing! It goes without saying that it’s a really tough time for the whole industry and I strongly encourage anyone who loves music to support those in the scene in any way possible - it’s the best way to ensure that we have some of the most unforgettable nights on record, when the doors swing back open!
