It would be a severe understatement to say that Australia’s hospitality industry has been devastated in the wake of the government’s measures to combat COVID-19.

Despite the enforced closures, our nation’s eateries have pivoted to provide through takeaway and delivery services to keep their businesses alive, and their staff employed.

Rick Shores (famous for its beachfront location and iconic ‘Bug Roll’) at Burleigh Heads are just one of the hundreds to move quickly on the opportunity to stay open for business.

With a little help from the Salumi team, Rick Shores announced the opening of their aptly-named ‘Tuk Shop’ pop-up store on Thursday - offering ‘takeaway food and wine for unusual times’.

The extensive takeaway menu features favourites like their Bug Roll and Red Duck Curry (with Sichuan Caramel, Lychee, Crispy Duck Skin), and can be paired with a rotating list of takeaway wines.

Bottles are limited to 2 per order and will be brought out to your car with your food if requested.

The Rick Shores Tuk Shop opens from 5pm Wednesday and Thursday, with extended hours Friday -Sunday, kicking off at midday. Pre order online or by calling or texting 0433 632 001.
